Forever young, in mind and spirit. Lucky was a "free" puppy that turn out to be a total lemon. He was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy when he was about 11 months old and spent the rest of his life on medicate to control them. He was the best at taking his meds though and loved the extra snacks it got him. His condition never slowed him down, he played and romped like a champ. He made friends with neighbor cats, occasionally tripping over them. He was a total klutz and never grew out of that "awkward puppy phase." We tried to go swimming one time but he is the one dog that it apparently did not come naturally to. His favorite things to do were eating, rolling around in the grass, and tossing his ducky toy around. He loved playing with my young nephew and sucking up all the attention he could get. He would do that big dog lean whenever getting petted and wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Until the very end he was the happiest and most giving dog. My heart will never be the same without him.
